Shang Chou, Managing Director at Simplify Asset Management, will provide his insights on the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in the world of real estate capital markets, REITs and ETFs.

Shang focuses on delivering the firm’s platform to RIAs, family offices, and institutional allocators. Prior to joining Simplify, he was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs in the Investment Management Division where he specialized in portfolio construction, asset allocation, and hedging solutions for institutional and ultra-high net worth investors. Before that, he co-founded and led a venture-backed wealth management technology startup from founding to exit. He has also held investment management and investment banking roles at J.P. Morgan, PIMCO, and Credit Suisse.

Shang holds a bachelor of science degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. He has successfully completed the Certificate of Quantitative Finance (CQF) program. In his spare time, Shang serves on the board of the MIT Club and as an Educational Counselor for MIT Admissions.
