This event will provide a comprehensive overview of what social infrastructure entails within the context of real estate. We'll explore how it extends beyond traditional buildings to encompass spaces and amenities that enhance the well-being of communities.

Social infrastructure—or the spaces communities rely on to gather and build relationships—is a core aspect of building urban resilience. These spaces help foster stronger social bonds, improve health and wellbeing, and create community amenities that support social equity and build value.

The City of Las Vegas developed the HUNDRED (Historic Urban Neighborhood Design Redevelopment) Plan in 2016 as a plan for community-led investment in the Historic Westside. 

In December 2022, MGM Resorts International provided a $500,000 philanthropic contribution for the acquisition of the two ready-built, plug-and-play container agriculture farming facilities. The shipping containers are climate-controlled and can operate year-round, providing approximately 320 square feet of growing space, and producing the output of nearly 3.5 acres of flat farming each, or eight tons of produce.
